Blue comes quietly. Not as a statement, but as a feeling. The kind that appears somewhere
between a farewell text and a new beginning, between wanting to move on and secretly looking back one last time.
On ‘#4a79b1’, Ray Lozano takes her listeners into a world of blue - once again discovering the remarkable in the big and small of reality.
With her third release, the German-Filipino producer and singer presents five brand-new tracks that reveal a new side of her and her ever-evolving sound. co-produced by her longtime musical partner, Samon Kawamura.
With ‘#4a79b1’, Ray opened herself up to new musical processes. In addition to co-producer
Samon Kawamura, pianist and background vocalist Gabriel ‘Sir Pryce’ Denhoff and guitarist
and bassist Fritz Dinter - members of her live band - joined the recording sessions for the first time.
Within this collaborative setting, the musician discovers new avenues for self-expression and a well-rounded overall sound. This creates a fresh context that organically highlights Ray’s gentle voice, clever vocal arrangements and lyrics.
