Kareen Lomax makes music for those on the journey towards self-love without a paddle to steer with. Her instantly recognizable vocals have featured on blockbuster hits from Diplo and Rudimental.
Her debut album, ‘NAJI’, which contains blushes of neo-soul, alternative R&B and indie, sees her turning the spotlight onto herself. Produced by Daoud (Kehlani, J. Cole, Lizzo), ‘NAJI’ is a document of Lomax’s grief and the ways in which it forced her to face her past and present.
The album is split into two sides - ‘ijan’ and ‘NAJI’ - representing different chambers of Lomax’s soul - ‘ijan’ is the softer introspective side, ‘NAJI’ pushes Kareen towards her truth, her courage. The album was produced by Daoud (Kehlani, J. Cole, Lizzo).
Kareen’s instantly-recognizable vocals have featured on five Diplo singles, including the
Platinum ‘Looking for Me’ (Number 4 UK Chart) and releases from Rudimental, Kavinsky and Aluna George, in addition to writing credits for Zayn Malik, Leon Bridges, Maroon 5, Syd, Diplo and more.
