Jean-Michel Blais - mirador

mirador (from the Latin mirari, “to marvel”) is a musical and poetic work that turns a suburban childhood into an epic landscape of imagination. Drawing on memories of growing up queer with Tourette’s, the narrator recounts retreating to a basement filled with modest objects: an organ, VHS tapes, encyclopedias, that became portals to vast cultural and geographic worlds.
