Jamie Woon - Making Time

Jamie Woon’s ‘Making Time’ is a refined blend of soul, electronic production and post-dubstep minimalism - a
deeply textured and emotionally resonant record that builds on the foundations of his acclaimed debut,
‘Mirrorwriting’.

Emerging from London’s forward-thinking electronic scene, Woon continues to evolve his signature sound,
pairing sparse, atmospheric production with rich, soulful vocals.

Released in 2015, ‘Making Time’ features standout tracks including ‘Sharpness’, ‘Message’ and ‘Thunder’,
showcasing a more stripped-back and meditative direction in his songwriting and production.

The album was widely praised for its subtle progression of his sound and reaffirmed his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in modern UK electronic soul.

The record also achieved notable recognition on release, entering the UK Albums Chart and further establishing Woon’s presence within the contemporary R&B and electronic landscape. The single ‘Sharpness’ also gained attention as one of the album’s defining moments.

‘Making Time’ was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, underlining its critical impact and standing as one of
the era’s most respected releases.

This long-awaited vinyl re-press brings ‘Making Time’ back to wax for the first time in years - a welcome
return for collectors and fans of Jamie Woon’s understated, forward-thinking catalogue.
