Mutant, in partnership with Sony Music Masterworks, and Amazon MGM studios are proud to present the complete soundtrack to Lord & Miller's epic masterpiece Project Hail Mary.

Reuniting with his longtime collaborators Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, following their award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse franchise, Pemberton developed a sonic identity for the film rooted in human fragility and hopeful optimism. The result is a score that is as emotionally resonant as it is sonically adventurous, relying on a deeply organic and human-centered sound to capture the film’s central message of enduring hope.

This limited edition collectable box set features

Daniel Pemberton's expanded original score - featuring approx 15 minutes of material not available in any other format. Including 2x Bonus Tracks not available on the Vinyl release
The film's original soundtrack album, including needle-drops from the film
24 page booklet featuring liner notes by Composer Daniel Pemberton
Exclusive Project Hail Mary 3-inch patch

In approaching the score to Project Hail Mary, composer Daniel Pemberton was challenged with balancing the film’s massive scale with the intimacy of its two-character narrative. An initial starting point for Pemberton was at the guidance of filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who used the phrase “Hope Core” to describe the film. Crafting music that contained both scale and wonder, but also vulnerability and fragility, Pemberton gravitated toward an organic, human-centered sound, using materials like wood, metal and steel drums alongside vocals and percussive stomping and clapping to keep the score tactile and imperfectly human.
