Love Songs and Devotional Songs, first released in 1988 — perfect companion pieces
that capture a true musical giant at the height of his powers, supported by the faultless
artistry of his accompanying party. This limited edition double LP marks the first time
these recordings have been available on vinyl in almost 40 years, with packaging that
draws on both the original WOMAD Records release and the striking visual concept by
painter Russell Mills featured in later editions. A defining figure in qawwali and global
music, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice and vision reshaped how Sufi devotional music
was heard around the world.
