Tahiti 80 was formed in Rouen in the mid-1990s. Taking its name from a souvenir T-shirt, the band – an iconic figure in French indie pop – made a lasting impression right from the start. Their debut album, *Puzzle* (1999), which went gold, opened the doors to the international stage for them – from legendary festivals such as Reading, Fuji Rock and SXSW to the tours that cemented their reputation. With elegant melodies and bold grooves blending pop, electro and rock, Tahiti 80 have created a unique and instantly recognisable musical world. Nearly thirty years after their debut, the Rouen-based band are preparing their eleventh album, *Rejoice (An Inventory of Pop Maps)*, due for release in September 2026.
