Ledfoot - Plain Simple Honesty

Ledfoot’s seventh solo album, ‘Plain Simple Honesty’, is exactly what the title suggests; a
collection of brutally honest songs straight from the heart. The lyrics tell small yet powerful stories, guiding listeners through the darker corners of the human mind, where setbacks are constant, but the characters just endure despite it all.

The themes explored on this album feel especially relevant in these unpredictable and often dark times. Musically, the album carries Ledfoot’s unmistakable signature stye, blending his ‘gothic blues’ sound with the rich tradition of American singer songwriters. In addition to his 12-string guitar, Tim Scott McConnell also plays baritone guitar, bass, percussion and banjo on this record.

The album was recorded at Ronni Le Tekro’s studio in Eina, Norway. This time Markus O. Klyve joins as a co-producer alongside Kjartan Hesthagen. Klyve also contributes backing vocals, keyboards and percussion, creating a soundscape that lies somewhere between Ledfoot’s Norwegian Grammy-winning album ‘Coffin Nails’ and last year’s ‘Outsiders’.
