The sessions brought together a constellation of collaborators around Baird and Leach, including Pedrum Siadatian (Allah-Las, PAINT), Phil Carluzzo, Austin Day, Oliver O'Haver, Jordan Johns, Michael Vattuone, Clara Kennedy, and Carluzzo’s dog Ernie.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLead single \"Yanaguana\" — the original Payaya name for San Antonio, meaning either \"land of many waters\" or simply \"where I am right now\" — serves as a thesis statement for the album, a restless soul reckoning with what it means to finally come home. Meanwhile, \"Karma Loan\" is a fuzzy, sprawling psych track that spilled out of Baird during a deep immersion in Bach that features cello by Clara Kennedy and closes with a sound collage of spiritual gurus hawking easy paths to enlightenment. Then there's \"Horse Moon\" — built around pedal steel that shimmers like rays of moonlight, drifting through vignettes from a late night walk across New York City, with Pedrum Siadatian's lead guitar lending the whole thing an unhurried, dreaming quality.
