Described by Pitchfork as “The Velvet Underground & Nico of avant-pop,” it was the undeniable result of the era’s fruitful no-wave and post-punk scenes and a stone-cold classic pop record, with a vocalist who floats above it all like the elusive host of a glamorous party.

This reissue collects together the tracks from the original release with some of the key singles from the period, along with seven exclusive unreleased demos, digitised from Anna’s original four-track tapes (available on the CD only). Included in these are six early versions of songs from ‘East And West’ and one completely new track, ‘Happy To Go’.

Much has been made of Anna’s idiosyncratic, minimalistic and avant-garde approach to pop songwriting and it is remarkable how much of that is already present in these early recordings. A unique document of her creative process.

CD and LP include booklet with artist notes and archival photos - new liner notes by Shaad D’Souza.

Tracklist:

CD
With The Day Comes The
Dawn
Land Of My Dreams
Review
Everyday, I Don't
Trust, In Love
Repeating
Zanna
Rythm
Dreamback (Demo)
With The Day Comes The
Dawn (Demo)
Land Of My Dreams (Demo)
Review (Demo)
Trust, In Love (Demo)
Happy To Go (Demo)
Repeating (Demo)
Caught (Demo)

LP
With The Day Comes The
Dawn
Land Of My Dreams
Review
Everyday, I Don't
Trust, In Love
Repeating
Zanna
Rythm
Dreamback (Demo)
