The Dawg Years is a collection of late singer songwriter Blaze Foley's earliest known recordings.
Blaze Foley is a cult legend, an iconoclast who was banned from virtually every bar in town, but whose songs are deeply admired and whose persona has been immortalized in the Lucinda Williams song “Drunken Angel” and the Ethan Hawk directed film “Blaze.” Foley worked with the likes of Gurf Morlix, Townes Van Zandt and Calvin Russell among others and his songs have been covered by Merle haggard, Lyle Lovett and John Prine.
